Co-founded in 2005 by Robert Redford and his son James, The Redford Center draws on the family’s deep expertise in filmmaking and activism to produce, fund, and fiscally sponsor impact driven media projects that showcase stories of individuals taking action to protect and restore the planet for current and future generations. We are optimistic and hopeful in our storytelling approach. Our films and campaigns are designed to spark honest dialogue that engages new audiences in addressing frontline environmental issues. The Redford Center is seeking an experienced Impact Producer to help manage the interest in—and drive opportunities for—the recently released feature film, Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution. This individual will report to the Executive Director and work closely the Redford Center team to ensure seamless information sharing and workflow integration. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a strong background in project management, superior collaboration and communication skills, event production experience and be well suited to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and implementing a 2018 Happening outreach and impact plan, with a focus on revenue generation, impact opportunities and metrics collection
  • Help with the creation and management of outreach and impact partnerships – i.e. crafting MOUs, creating joint project and promotion opportunities, conducting monthly check-ins, identifying and updating featured actions for Happening website, and ensuring metrics and project updates are being collected and reported
  • Manage the production of key screenings and events and follow up with all leads generated through these activities
  • Attend strategic screenings and events as needed (Redford Center covers travel costs)
  • Assist with the creation and execution of an educational toolkit and a corporate toolkit
  • Assist with the development and execution of a fall educational screenings launch and tour
  • Manage day to day Happening inquiries, screening requests and outreach opportunities
  • Ensure that all new contacts are captured in The Redford Center’s database and tracking systems
  • Track impact metrics and distribution revenue and produce monthly reports
  • Explore opportunities for corporate and community partnerships
  • Initiate and maintain a Happening iCal calendar that all Redford Center team members can view, and ensure that all new events are updated on Redford Center and Happening websites and social channels
  • Solicit and collect testimonials from screening partners
  • Participate in weekly calls with the Happening team and provide a weekly activity report

This is a part-time (20-25 hours a week), 10-11 month long consulting position with possibility for extension. We are looking to fill this position in the Bay Area immediately.
