Sundance Summit 2005: Mayor’s Gathering

On July 10-12, 2005, a historic gathering of US Mayors took place in Utah as mayors from 28 states convened to drive local action on global warming.

In 2005 some of the first US mayors who aggressively began working to combat global climate change convened at the Sundance Mountain Resort at the invitation of Robert Redford, ICLEI and former Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson. In this short film the mayors share their insights, and foresight, and speak to why they are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in their jurisdictions.
