Devon Blackwell is a director and editor currently pursuing her MFA in documentary filmmaking at Stanford University. She was named in the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the media category following her role as an associate producer on the video team at The New Yorker. Devon is also a recipient of the 2024 Sundance Adobe Ignite Fellowship. Her debut film, GOODBYE MORGANZA (2023), premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it received a special jury mention in the Short Documentary Category. The film went on to win Best Documentary Short at the 2024 Atlanta Film Festival, qualifying for consideration at the 97th Academy Awards. Devon’s work has garnered support from organizations such as the Redford Center and the Sundance Institute. Her work as a producer on short documentaries including YOU’LL BE HAPPIER (dir. Daniel Lombroso, 2023), NINA & IRENA (dir. Daniel Lombroso, 2023), and HOLD THE LINE (dir. Daniel Lombroso, 2024), have been showcased at prominent festivals like Mountain Film, DOC NYC, and Big Sky, and have received recognition as Vimeo Staff Picks.
