Celebrating Earth Month
What does it mean to celebrate Earth Month? For many of us, a simple walk outside in nature energizes us — a reminder that we’re both nourished by and responsible for our planet. This connection came alive for us this month: from the moving resilience portrayed in “Rebuilding” at the SF Film Festival, to our explorations of the Presidio’s rich environmental history just steps from our headquarters. These moments — both quiet and catalyzing — aren’t just celebrations, they’re fuel for the critical work ahead.

Jill Tidman Joins Climate Podcast
“All of these films and the stories that they’re telling … it’s not just the archive, it’s the playbook.”
Jill Tidman, Executive Director of The Redford Center, was interviewed on the podcast Invested in Climate to talk about the impact of storytelling in climate activism.
Check out the episode to hear her unique insight on how people all over the world are finding solutions to effect change in their environment.
“There’s so much innovation and progress in places you would never imagine, and that is a story we feel like the world needs to hear, because that is a much more encouraging, motivating picture of humanity.”
Bringing those stories to the world is at the heart of our mission.
