Andrew Nadkarni

Andrew Nadkarni is a multiracial filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. His directorial debut documentary, Between Earth & Sky, won Best Short at Big Sky Doc Film Fest, Audience Award for Best Short at DCEFF, screened at Hot Docs, and won the IF/Then x Redford Center Nature Access Pitch at DOC NYC. A 2023 BRIClab Artist in Residence, he aims to integrate community care, sustainability, and trauma-informed practices into his filmmaking process. Since graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he’s worked as a reader for Catapult Film Fund, production supervisor on the NY Unit of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and production coordinator on the series Modern Love and Awkwafina is Nora from Queens. Andrew recently produced the narrative feature, Actual People, now streaming on MUBI.
