Jenn Lee Smith (she/her) is a queer filmmaker who founded beWilder Films to produce and amplify underrepresented stories. Since 2001, Jenn has engaged in social and environmental work in the academic, nonprofit, and film worlds supporting award-winning films such as FOOD AND COUNTRY (2023), MIJA (2022), PRAY AWAY (2021), JANE AND EMMA (2018), and FAITHFUL (2017). Jenn immigrated from Taiwan to rural Utah and later lived in California ethnoburbs. As a researcher in the field of Human Geography, Jenn was awarded grants from the Asia Institute and Social Science Research Council. She is currently the producer on two feature-length documentaries: HOME COURT (2024) and GOOD FIRE (2026).
