Sophie is an award-winning producer and director. She is currently producing on two feature documentaries for Sound Off Films, recently produced and directed Tiny World – Reef for Apple TV+, narrated by Paul Rudd, and produced/directed on an upcoming series for Netflix. Other recent credits include BAFTA and EMMY award-winning/nominated series Blue Planet II (BBC) and Hostile Planet (Nat Geo). She created the concept for BBC Natural World special Miracle in the Marshes of Iraq – nominated for the Wildscreen ‘People and Nature’ award in 2012. She has also worked on host-led factual programming for the BBC, Discovery and Channel 4. Sophie is proudly neurodiverse and has always been a passionate advocate for climate change issues. She stopped attending church as a teenager due to the ‘glossing over of the planetary crisis’. She is a scientist (Zoology BSc) and was chief organiser of Bristol, UK’s ‘March for Science’. For her, ‘Richard’s story not only restores some faith in humanity, but restores some humanity into faith’.
