Toni Cunningham is an independent filmmaker, a 2018 Kresge Arts in Detroit fellow, a mentee with the #StartsWith8Hollywood mentorship program and the founder of Splash of Tonic Media LLC. Her first film Good Grief premiered in the Detroit Voices competition of Cinetopia Film Festival in 2019. Since then she has produced experimental, documentary and narrative films as well as non-profit public service announcements. She is currently developing two feature films, which she wrote. Toni holds a Master’s degree in Media Arts and Studies from Wayne State University, where she is also an instructor of screenwriting and media storytelling.
