Vivian Sorenson is an award-winning Executive Producer and Director with a history of creating hit television shows across a variety of platforms. As the Co-Executive Producer of the iconic series Chopped, Chopped Junior and After Hours she has won a James Beard Media Award and the show has been nominated for an Emmy and 4 Critics Choice Awards, winning the 2020 Critics Choice Award. Vivian has directed a range of seminal television programs: Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, What Not to Wear, The Bachelor, Wife Swap, Operation Homecoming and Savoring Harlem- a documentary about food and the history of Harlem. Her seasoned storytelling skills were honed in the world of theater where she started out as a director in NYC in venues such as Lincoln Center, Naked Angels, and the Public Theater. Her short film The Silent Love of the Fish won several 1st place awards at festivals across the US. Her current project, a short film titled Five Teenagers Walk Into a Bar, is premiering at the 2020 LA Shorts International Film Festival. Vivian is a member of Pleiades Network, an organization of women working towards global sustainability.
